The Road Trip of the Century
Most of you probably have no idea until you read this post, but Luke, Kylee and I are on a road trip to Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan with most of my and Luke's belongings in tow. This is where we are going to be back talking and writing about medical school and the perspective that I now have.
For those of you who don't know who Kylee is, she is Luke's 18-year-old sister.
Let me lay out the timeline of our road trip as well as a breakdown of my thoughts of each state:
June 23, 2018
10:00 a.m. - My bridal shower -- I got the cutest gifts! Seriously, such a huge thank you to everyone that came from the Wesemann side.
12:30 p.m. - Left Farmington, UT on the voyage of a lifetime
3:00 a.m. - Arrived in Kearney, NE
We made some stops so that we could use the restroom, gather some snacks and fill up the U-Haul with gas. We found amazing little diner out Wyoming. I wish I remember what it was called but I had this steak quesadilla, Luke had some sort of breakfast thing and Kylee had biscuits and gravy! We also had some fried pickles. WOW, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! Literally, it was the longest trip I have ever taken. We switched off driving because man was it hard to stay awake!

10:00 a.m. - Left the hotel
3:00 a.m. - Arrived in Dearborn, MI
During the second day of our trip, we decided not to stop at diners or good places to eat because we just wanted to get there at a decent hour (as you can tell from above we didn't). We got snacks every time we stopped because we were all so hungry. Luke had the brilliant idea to buy some dill pickle flavored sunflower seeds. For real, those things can help you stay awake. So basically that's what I had for dinner and it was good (not healthy, just good).
So the next blog post will be about how the move in was and the place that we will call home!
