Pick and Choose
Since we got married, my life has been nothing short of hectic. From moving in (which we haven't completely done) to finding a job, there has been no rest for us. It feels like there's always food to be made or there are always dishes in the sink. THERE ARE SERIOUSLY ALWAYS DISHES IN THE SINK LIKE HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!
There are too many things that I want to do that time does not allow for. I have started my own fitness website that I don't feel like I have time for. I want to actually journal all the ideas I find on Pinterest. I want to go to the gym six times a week and I want to lose more weight. I want to organize my house and sell all the things I don't use or want or don't fit me anymore and make so much money. I want to paint. I want to bake and make my own creations. I want to make sure that Luke is getting everything he needs to do everything that he needs to do. I want to explore and document the place that we live in. I want to become a professional photographer. BUT WHERE IS THE TIME?!
This is where I have to take a step back and take a deep breath. I can't do everything at once and I can't do everything that comes to my mind. I have obligations now and I have to remember that I need to slow down and pick the ones that are most important to me. Of course, the first is making sure that I can do everything I can at home to make Luke's medical school experience the easiest it can be. Second I chose to make fitness and health my number two priority when it comes to the millions of things I want to do. I have started a website that is all about my fitness journey and how I am going to be help those that want to have a healthier lifestyle. That's been extremely nerve wracking...but my mind and my heart are finally at peace with what I need to focus on. I would suggest that you copy and paste this picture of the mountains (I took it so it's all good if you use this) and write underneath it what makes your heart and mind feel a sense of tranquility. It'll help your mind find what it has been looking for.
